My Approach

On the last day we’ll be asked the only question that matters. Not, were you good or bad. And certainly not, were you successful, were you popular, were you rich. But this, only this: ‘Whom have you loved back to life.’
— John L’Heureux

What’s Different about working with me:

If you’re like most people landing on my page, you’ve been to a talk therapist or two and are frustrated with the lack of progress. I was in your shoes and know firsthand that talk therapy can feel supportive but garner little change in our lives and nervous systems. For transformative results, research shows, we must work with the body, somatically. My approach calls on your nervous system to do the work, leaving your analysis and insights on the shore while we journey and explore previously uncharted waters. We’ll listen to what your body is telling you - the old story, and ask your brain and ego to rest, allowing your body, spirit, and heart to guide you to the necessary places to heal, releasing stored energy and making neural connections essential for healing and change, thereby rewiring your nervous system - the new story.

There is trauma that is so deeply embedded into the fabric of who we are that it takes such an expert witness, such a powerful guide, to help us see it, and have the strength to heal. Tammy is that loving witness, that unfaltering force of love that allowed me to have the courage to let love reach within me where it has never been before. I am forever grateful for the life-altering work we did together.

My approach is rooted in the belief that our bodies are time capsules and ultimately our compasses. Our work is to tap into our body’s inner wisdom, to allow it to show us what needs to be healed and the way to peace and ease. Trauma recovery, in fact, all recovery (from a toxic culture, an emotionally neglectful childhood, societal expectations, etc.), is a kind of time travel. When we go back and process previously unprocessed experiences, we rewire the nervous system, effectively eliminating the negative impact of our history. When we see our negative patterns and “problems” as invitations, we leave room for self-compassion and love, the foundation for all possibilities.

Tammy’s listening is pure medicine; her way of leading me into my own healing gives me forward momentum in everything I do.
