Meet Tammy
Licensed psychotherapist, EMDR specialist, and speaker.
I’m a curious soul-seeker, passionate about connecting to universe, divine, and other spirits living a human life. From personal experience, I know that connection begins with Self, that the big universal connecting thread is love, and that everything we’ve ever needed is inside of us.
At times, we need guides to show us the way, to remind us of the inner light that has always been there, a companion to help walk us back home to Self, revealing our true essence and allowing our true state of being.
I’m deeply passionate about what I do, and about getting the word out that no one has to carry the vestiges of trauma, that change is “simple”; not always easy, but always achievable. This is my life’s calling, a thread that’s tugged me toward something bigger than myself, yet of me and in me, since a very young age. I’m trained in and practice modalities I personally benefit from - I walk the walk and invite you to do the same.
I was raised in puritanical New England, the capitalist American culture, and the catholic church, where minds and thoughts are paramount. I was taught to ignore my body and my inner knowing and to follow the guidance of an all-knowing deity, something outside of myself.
The cultural, social, and religious messages I received taught me that my body was something to be ashamed of, pushed, ignored, and judged.
My circuitous journey of unlearning has taken me decades and, if I’m fortunate, decades more. Along the way, I’ve met guides, clients, mentors, and supervisors who have shown me, through their own journeys, inner work, and instruction, a different way. A returning home to body and Self that has felt right all along. I haven’t always been patient with mySelf, it’s something I’m still working on, but I always strive to lead with love, courage, curiosity, compassion, and trust.
